Description	:	Highland Recorder February 25, 1921 Mrs. James O. Trimble died at her home on the mountain east of Monterey last Saturday morning about 2 o’clock. Her death was due to typhoid fever, supposed to have been contracted while attending the sick in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Simmons, who is also a victim of the disease but is slowly recovering. Mrs. Trimble, before marriage, was Miss Margaret Helmick, daughter of the late Philip Helmick of this place, and is survived by several sister, half sisters, and brothers. Trimble died at her home on the mountain east of Monterey last Saturday morning about 2 o’clock. Her death was due to typhoid fever, supposed to have been contracted while attending the sick in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Simmons, who is also a victim of the disease but is slowly recovering. Mrs. Trimble, before marriage, was Miss Margaret Helmick, daughter of the late Philip Helmick of this place, and is survived by several sister, half sisters, and brothers. Of her immediate family, the surviving members are the husband, Miss Lula Trimble, a school teacher and this winter employed in Bath county. She closed her school on hearing of her mother's illness came home and nursed her faithfully until the end came. The other daughter is Mrs. Walter Simmons, mentioned above, and there are five sons, Luther, the oldest one being in the United States regular army. He has been at home on a-furlough for a couple of weeks. The funeral took place Sunday noon at Strait Creek church, conducted by Rev. R. D. McNeer of the Methodist church, and interment was in the nearby cemetery. The day was unusually bad, the ground covered with 10 inches of snow, but quite a number attended the funeral services. Highland Recorder March 4, 1921 Another case of fever is thought to be developing in the home of James O. Trimble, east of Monterey. Robert who attended the sick in the Walter Simmons home, is the prospective victim, making five cases traceable to the one source of infection.
