The Rev. Roland Walkes officiating. Organist was Mrs. Leslie Rau. Special music was by the Ladies Chorus and Mixed Quartet. In 1899 she was united in marriage to Jacob Sayler north of Eureka. Her husband is deceased. Since 1968 Mrs. Martin was a resident of the Eureka Lutheran Home. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Eureka. Survivors include: two sons, Ervin Sayler, Eureka, SD and Ruben Sayler, Yakima, WA; and six Daughters, Mrs. Peter (Ann) Stickelmeyer and Mrs. Ida Stickelmeyer, Eureka, SD, Mrs. Ed (Esther) Heupel and Frieda Heupel, Aberdeen, SD, Mrs. Leonard (Florence) Preszler, Tacoma, WA, and Mrs. Albert (Alice) Delzer, Bismarck, ND. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband were a son, a daughter, six brothers, and one sister. ============================= Maria HUMANN born 22 July 1882 in Friedenstal, Akkerman, Bessarabia, South Russia was the daughter of Jacob HUMANN and Christina PFEIFLE. Maria at the age of 20 months with her parents and brother Konrad, immigrated to America via the Port of Bremen, Germany aboard the SS "Fulda" and arrived at the Port of New York, New York on the 24th of March 1884. Mary HUMANN married Jacob S SAYLER in 1899 in McPherson County, South Dakota. This union was blessed with 10 children; Jacob, Barbara, Anna, Ida, Ervin, Esther, Frieda, Rueben, Florence and Alice.
