She died July 19, 1970 at the Lincoln General Hospital in Lincoln. She graduated from the Nora High School and completed work at the Junior College in Hebron for a teacher's certificate. She taught schools in Nuckolls County for several years. On Dec. 11, 1945, she was married to Albert Bargen at the bride's home near Nora, Neb. To this union were born two daughters, Connie and Janice. Mrs. Bargen was a member of the First Christian Church in Nelson, where she had served as a deaconess, Sunday school superintendent and teacher. Survivors are her husband, Albert; two daughters, Mrs. Richard Calver (Connie) of Lincoln and Janice of the home; one sister, Mrs. Glen Crook (Helen) of Superior; and three brothers, Ralph of Guide Rock, Lynn of Nora and Jon of Belleville. There are also many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister and brother, Elda and John Woodrow Thayer. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m., at the First Christian Church in Nelson with the Rev. Victor Schwarz officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery. The Megrue-Price Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
