Mary Matilda Kephart- daughter of William and Freda Kephart 1893-1936 obit "Mary M. Kephart, age 43, died last Thursday at the state hospital at Mount Pleasant following an illness of nearly 10 years. Miss Kephart, who was born in Cedar Rapids in 1893, the daughter of Mr and Mrs William L Kephart, came to Sigourney with her mother and brothers and sisters in 1925. Her father died in 1922. Surviving, besides her mother, are four sisters, Mrs Florence Kleinmeyer and Alice Kephart of Sigourney, Mrs Bell Werder of Kingsley and Mrs Ida Querl of Williamsburg, and four brothers, William and George of Sigourney, Richard of Estherville and Robert of Chelsea. The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon at the home of her mother under the direction of the Rev L. G. Potter, paster of the Sigourney church of Christ, and interment was made in West Cemetery, (Mt Pleasant cemetery, sic. (She was buried in Pleasant Grove cemetery, Sigourney, Iowa)..
