Description	:	Mrs. Mary Wiseman Mary McClintock, daughter of Joseph and Mary McClintock, was born in Cascade, Dubuque county, Ia., Jan. 1, 1868, one of a family of nine children. While she was still a young child, her family moved to farms near Storm Lake and Sac City, but finally settled on a farm near Lake View, where she grew to young womanhood. Read More	Mrs. Mary Wiseman Mary McClintock, daughter of Joseph and Mary McClintock, was born in Cascade, Dubuque county, Ia., Jan. 1, 1868, one of a family of nine children. While she was still a young child, her family moved to farms near Storm Lake and Sac City, but finally settled on a farm near Lake View, where she grew to young womanhood. March 15, 1886, she was married at Osage, Ia., to Joseph Wiseman of Grant City. To this union were born three sons and three daughters. They lived on farms in Sac and Calhoun counties, and came to Lake City in 1917. Mr. Wiseman passed away in 1928, and Mrs. Wiseman and her son Frank continued to live on the home place until 1950, when failing health made a change necessary. She passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul DeLong, Sunday, July 1, 1951, at the age of 83 years and six months. As a young girl, she united with the Coon Valley Baptist church, later transferring her membership to the Woodlawn Church of Christ in Lake City, where she was active as long as it was physically possible. She was also, at one time, active in the Rebekah and Royal Neighbor lodges. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters, her husband, and one son, Ray, who passed away in 1910 at the age of four years. She is survived by two sons, John H. Wiseman of Ames, and Frank Wiseman of Woodward; three daughters, Wilma (Mrs. Denzel Fuller) of Waterloo, Ellen (Mrs. Paul DeLong) of Lake City, and Edna (Mrs. Chester Lynge) also of Lake City; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Wiseman was a kind and loving mother, and a good friend and neighbor. She will be remembered by many as a cheerful, helpful friend. Services were held Tuesday at Woodlawn Church of Christ, Rev. Leon Triggs officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn cemetery at Auburn.
