Funeral services for Mrs Mary Busching, 77, will be held this afternoon Thursday at 2:00 o'clock in Immanuel United Church of Christ. Mrs Busching died suddenly at her home Monday morning Mar12 1973. A native of Husum Germany, she was born February 26 1896, the daughter of William and Melusine Miller Nordmann. She was baptized into the Christian faith in infancy in Germany. The family moved to the US in 1900 and made their home on a farm in the Pleasant Valley neighborhood. In her youth, Mrs Busching renewed her baptismal vows in the rite of confirmation in the Pleasant Valley Church. She was united in marriage with Albert Busching on February 18 1915. They were engaged in farming in the Clarksville community. After her marriage in 1915, she and Albert engaged in farming in the Clarksville community. To this union, nine children were born, eight boys and one girl. On 31 December 1937, Alfred died very suddenly of a heart attack. Mary continued to live on the farm for a year, moving to Clarksville in March of 1939, where she has since made her home. She was a devoted member of Immanuel United Church of Christ. Surviving are her sons, Herbert of Cedar Falls, Reid and Lavern of Clarksville, Lyle of Davenport, Merlyn and William of Shell Rock and Ronald of Adel, Georgia and her daughter, Lois (Mrs Fred Wedeking) of Nashua. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a son, Harold, six brothers and two sisters. The services will be conducted by Rev Reuben J Topp, pastor of Immanuel Church. Interment will be made in Lynwood Cemetery. Schwartz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
