Description	:	Mrs David Carradus Mrs. David Carradus, one of the pioneer women of Prairie township, died at the home of her son, John Carradus, in this city, last Friday, at the advanced age of ninety-one years. Brief funeral services were held at the home of the son on East Howard street Sunday afternoon at two o'clock and then the remains were taken to the Silver Creek Methodist church, where funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Read More	Mrs David Carradus Mrs. David Carradus, one of the pioneer women of Prairie township, died at the home of her son, John Carradus, in this city, last Friday, at the advanced age of ninety-one years. Brief funeral services were held at the home of the son on East Howard street Sunday afternoon at two o'clock and then the remains were taken to the Silver Creek Methodist church, where funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Wharton, and interment was made in the Silver Creek church. Mary Nicholson was born in Kendal, England, where she was united in marriage with Mr. David Carradus, on February 19th, 1859. In 1871 she and her husband came to the United States, and after only a very brief visit in Ohio, they came to Delaware County, and located on a farm in Prairie township. Mrs. Carradus is survived by one son, John Carradus of this city, and one daughter, Mrs. Sarah Swann of Coggon. She also leaves eleven grand children and 21 great grand children. Mrs. Carradus was a devout Christian woman, and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Silver Creek during all of the years that she lived in the county. For thirty years she was the president of the Missionary society of the Silver Creek church, and as long as her strength held out she was a faithful worker in every cause for the betterment of the community.
