Description	:	We were to believe that Mary Meagher was buried in Scotville cemetery according to the funeral record, but it does not appear that someone else would pay for the Hearst ride. Mary Meagher's daughter and grand daughter are buried in the O'Neill cemetery close to each other, so it is assumed Mary Meagher should be buried there as well. The records are not available that far back so it unfortunately is a dead end. We've had people dig a new grave that they thought was empty and found it indeed was occupied. Sorry. At least you have the record. Oct. 23,1919 "The Frontier" O'Neill, NE Mrs Mary Meagher, a former resident of this city, died in Omaha, Wednesday of this week. The body will be brought to this city for interment and the funeral will be held from the Catholic Church Sunday morning. She was 95 years of age. Oct. 25, 1919 Saturday "World Herald" - Omaha, NE Page 29. MEAGHER - Mrs. Mary, Oct. 23, aged 94 years, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Catherine Stafford, Helen Apts. Services at the Hoffman Funeral Home. Saturday, at 2:30 p.m. Remains will be sent to C. & N. W. Saturday, 4:30 p.m., to O'Neill, Neb. for burial. Deceased is survived by two daughters. Mrs. Catherine Stafford and Miss Margaret Meagher. According to funeral records from Biglin's Mortuary, Mary Meagher was buried in the Scottsville cemetery. A number of volunteers are unable to locate the gravemarker, which probably means Mary had no marker or the marker Mary has is unreadable. Most smaller cemeteries did not have records until the WPA project in the 1930's and all they could do was write down the gravestones that were readable. I have also checked with the O'Neil city hall and they did say that Mary Meagher was buried at Scottsville cemetery. I have also tried to look in a number of other cemeteries and can not find Mary Meagher in Holt County. If anyone has any record of Mary Meagher buried in the area please email me. I only have that the funeral records and O'Neil city hall says Mary Meagher is buried here. Thanks.
