Spellings and even names varied, as with many Norwegian immigrants and their children. Christ's parents were also born in Norway. Christ's father was my grandfather Olai Fjerstad's cousin. Mary and Christ moved to SD and had six children: Lulu E., Helen C., Ruby L, Claude A., Glenn L and Donald L. Peterson.
