Read More	Again death has visited our neighborhood and taken a loved neighbor and friend, Mrs. Mary Shipley, whose sickness we mentioned last week. Two weeks ago Tuesday night she was taken sick. Dr. Sickler was called and pronounced her very sick with pneumonia. Everything was done that love could contrive, but all in vain, death marked her for his own. She moved here with her husband three years ago. In that time she has won the respect and esteem of the entire neighborhood. She was an exemplary christian and when death came it found her ready. For herself she desired only the Lord's will be done. Just before her death she called her family to her bedside and earnestly prayed of their salvation. She leaves a husband, a little girl 6 years old and a little boy about 10. Her mother, Mrs. Pritchard, of Pilot Mound, was with her during her sickness, also a sister Mrs. Zunkle. She was buried today in the Union cemetery in Grant, where her father's family, who are buried, lie. She was born in England 32 years ago. Rev Record conducted the service. We believe all her brothers and sisters were present. Her family have our heartfelt sympathies. We, too, shall miss her. Oh, that all who die might triumph over death as did this, our friend. Her face in death bore a peaceful smile. We expect again to clasp her hand when we have crossed the river and entered the pearly gate. The friends request us to say for them that they are grateful for the help and sympathy given by the neighbors and friends. Mrs Shipley came from England to America with her parents when but one year of age, and settled in Pennsylvania. Living there some eleven years, her parents then moved to Boone county, and she resided here up to the time of her death. She married Wm Shipley in 1877.
