Read More	Mary Roberta (Bobby) Lewis passed away at the Rowland Nursing Home in Covina, CA on March 11, 2015. Born on February 3, 1919, Bobby was 96 years old at her passing. She was born at home in Norway, Iowa, to Henry and Maybelle Siepman. Bobby attended local schools, ending her formal education at Mt. Mercy Jr. College in Cedar Rapids,Iowa, studying Business,Office Management and Bookkeeping. Initially, she worked for her father who sold cars. At the outbreak of WWII she took a job as an officer worker with U.S. Army. It was here she met and later married, Richard Lewis, a radio operator in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in 1942. Bobby and Dick were married until Dick's death from cancer in 1971. After Dick's discharge from the Army they moved to Chicago, Illinois, where their first son,Terry, was born in 1947. A year later they moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where their second son, Lynn, was born in 1949. In 1955, Bobby and Dick moved to West Covina, CA where she worked as an Office Manager for various companies in Covina, West Covina and Pomona. Bobby lived in West Covina for 60 years and was an active member of Sacred Heart parish in Covina,CA. Bobby was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Lewis (1971) and her youngest son, Lynn Lewis (2002). She is survived by her eldest son, Terry Lewis,his wife, Susan, her grandson, Colby Lewis, and ten nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Custer Christiansen Mortuary Covina, CA on Tuesday, March 17 from 6:00p.m to 9:00p.m with a 7:00p.m Rosary Service. Funeral Mass Service will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Covina,CA on Wednesday, March 18 at 10:00 a.m.. To follow, burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery Rowland Heights,CA.
