Uncertain which is correct. GEORGETOWN. One of the old residents of this township, Mrs. Robert F. Bessey, passed away, after several months' illness, at 2 o'clock yesterday morning. Mrs. Bessey was a daughter of the late John Root, and she was born at Beamsville nearly seventy-eight years ago. In 1826 the family moved to Erin, and in the year 1848 the deceased's marriage to Mr. Bessey took place. There were two children, both deceased some years ago. The deceased was among the first members of Georgetown Baptist Church, having joined the church during the ministry of Rev. John Clark, over fifty years ago. So long as her health permitted, she always showed a deep interest in the progress of the church, and faithfully attended its services.
