She was united in marriage to Wilson Loomis December 7, 1873. To this union were born nine children; all are living except one daughter Mary Alice, who preceded her mother to the better world May 6, 1892. Read More	The Osceola Sentinel, Osceola, Iowa Thursday, October 3, 1912, page 5 Mary Stephenson was born in Monroe county, Iowa, March 7, 1852, moved to Clarke county, Ia., with her parents when two years old where she continuously resided until her death September 28, 1912. She was united in marriage to Wilson Loomis December 7, 1873. To this union were born nine children; all are living except one daughter Mary Alice, who preceded her mother to the better world May 6, 1892. The remaining children were all with her in her last hours. Mrs. Loomis was converted in 1882, and has lived a faithful Christian since; always ready and willing to talk of her faith in her Savior. She called her husband and children around her a short time before her master called her home and bade them good bye, telling them she knew all was well and asked them to meet her in heaven. Besides her husband and children she leaves nine grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters together with a host of other relatives and friends by whom she was loved and honored. She will be sadly missed. The funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. A.D. White and were largely attended. The body was laid to rest in the Fields cemetery by the side of her daughter. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. Transcribed by Karen Brewer
