A member of the Church of the Brethren, she was born in the Boonsboro District, daughter of David L and Catherine (Shoemaker) Poffenberger. She was last surviving member of her family. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs Wolf; sons, David Lee Kefauver, Keedysville; and Charles L Kefauver, Akron, Ohio; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
