Edgerton, was born at Laurence[sic], Kansas, February 9, 1867. In early childhood her parents moved to Richmond, Indiana, and while but a child she gave herself to God and united with the Friends church, of which she remained faithful member till her death. In 1882 she removed to Dawson township, where her widowed mother owns a fine farm, and in 1886 she was united in marriage to E. G. Elmore, to them were born three children, the youngest of them preceded the mother three years ago. She had been in poor health the past year with a complication of diseases, mainly consumption, but nothing serious was thought until last July, when it was decided to try a different climate, and they went to Denver, Colorado, where they remained for a while, from there, from there they went to Florence, Col., where all that willing hands and loving hearts could do was done, but she gradually [grew] weaker, and on Monday, February 26, she expressed her desire to see her children and loved ones again in this life. She died on Tuesday morning at 8 o’clock, just as the train was leaving Lincoln, Nebraska. The body was brought on to Omaha, were is was laid out and embalmed, and them brought home for burial. The funeral was held from the Methodist church at Paton, March 1, conducted by Rev. George, after which she was laid to rest in the Dawson cemetery beside the little one gone before. She leaves a husband, two children, mother, two brothers and two sisters, besides other relatives and host of friends to mourn her departure. The bereft ones have the heartfelt sympathy of the community in this sad hour of bereavement. 2d entry Mrs. E. G. Elmore, whose death we noted last week, was buried Tuesday. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church and interment in Dawson township cemetery. A husband and two children, Roy and Zada, her mother, Mrs. Ellen Edgerton, two sisters and two brothers survive her. All were present at the funeral except one sister, Mrs. C. J. White. Mr. Elmore and family have the sincere sympathy of a host of friends.
