A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Roseville with Monsignor Walter Brunkan officiating. Burial will be in the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Dougherty. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Reid's Funeral Chapel in Marble Rock where there will be a Scriptural Wake Service at 7:30 p.m., followed by a rosary service. Mary Theresa Dolan was born Oct. 16, 1917, in Dougherty, a daughter of John Francis and Elizabeth (Brinkman) Dolan. She received her education at the St. Patrick's School in Dougherty and lived at home in Dougherty until her mother's death in 1969 when she entered the Nora Springs Care Center. She later became a resident of the Ninth Street Chautaugua Guest Home in Charles City. Throughout her lifetime, Mary overshadowed her own problems by the love she gave to "her boys" as she affectionately called her brothers, and sisters and their families. She also loved little children. Mary, in turn, showed real appreciation for those who loved her. Living family members include her sister, Carmilla and her husband, Dr. Donald Ullrich, of Brookfield, Wis.; seven sisters-in-law, Dorothy Dolan of Ogden, Utah; Alyce Dolan of South Daytona Beach, Fla.; Irene Dolan of Salina, Kan.; Mercedes Dolan of Cedar Rapids; Benita Dolan of Williamsburg; Mary Ellen Dolan of Madison, Wis., and Frances Dolan of Marble Rock; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Helen Dougherty; and eight brothers, Joseph, Aloysius, Victor, Vincent, Robert, John, Adrian and Leonard. Those planning an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the Mary Theresa Dolan Memorial Fund in care of the family.
