Read More	NUN, MARY VELMA VELMA--Mary Velma Nun was born to Roy and Maude Warner yates on May 30, 1912, on a farm in Chelsea township, Fillmore county, Neb., and passed away on her 67th birthday at the Henderson Community Long Term Care Home. She was one of two children in the family. At the age of five she and her family moved to Dan Diego, Cal., for her health. Three years later they returned to Nebraska where she attended Chelsea school, later graduating from the Ohiowa public school in 1929. On September 9, 1931, in Belleville, Kas, she was united in marriage to Ralph Nun of Geneva. To this union two children were born, Marilyn and Roger. Through the years she has enjoyed people and has shown this by working in several nursing homes in the county. She was a member of the Chelsea Woman’s Club and the VFW Auxiliary, Post 7102. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and several aunts. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; daughter, Marilyn Macrander, both of Geneva; son and daughter-in-law Roger and Ann, granddaughter and her husband Trenda and Michael Allen; grandsons, Roger Jr., Randy, Jeffry, Terry, Charles and Robbie; one great-granddaughter, Nichole Lynn, all of Fairmont; sister and brother-in-law, Mabel and Cecil Fox of Geneva; uncles, Dayton Warner of Galt, Cal., and Harley Warner of Gillette, Wyo.; an aunt, Sarah Williamson of Denver, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer & Son funeral home in Geneva at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 2, with Rev. Woodrow W. Wilson officiating. Mrs. Clarence Najmon sang “How Great Thou Art” and “Beyond the Sunset” accompanied by Mrs. Norval Lomax. Pallbearers were Robert Ackland, Clarence A. Nun Jr., Alvin fox, Donald F. Nun, Michael Allen and John Francis Nun. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The VFW Ladies Auxiliary conducted a graveside service.
