Description	:	YATES, MAUD LUCY — Maud Lucy Warner, second daughter of Morgan and Mary Warner, was born in Chelsea township, April 20, 1885. She departed this life at Geneva, Neb., October 26, 1948, at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 6 days. She was united in marriage to Roy T. Yates, December 20, 1906, at Bruning, Neb., and to this union were born two daughters, Mabel and Velma. Read More	YATES, MAUD LUCY — Maud Lucy Warner, second daughter of Morgan and Mary Warner, was born in Chelsea township, April 20, 1885. She departed this life at Geneva, Neb., October 26, 1948, at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 6 days. She was united in marriage to Roy T. Yates, December 20, 1906, at Bruning, Neb., and to this union were born two daughters, Mabel and Velma. For two years after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Yates made their home in Ohiowa, from where they moved to a farm in Chelsea township. With the exception of three years, 1918 to 1921, spent in California, this farm continued to be their home until December 6, 1946, when they moved to Geneva to make their home. In her earlier life she became a member of the Chelsea Evangelical United Brethren church and was a faithful attendant and worker as long as her health permitted. March 16, 1938, she suffered a stroke from which she never fully recovered. Her last illness was of short duration from which her Master released her from her invalided body to be clothed in the immortal body which knows no infirmity. She was affiliated with the Tobias Easter Star Chapter No. 179. She is survived by her loving husband, Roy, and daughters Mabel, (Mrs. Cecil Fox) and Velma (Mrs. Ralph Nun); five grandchildren Delores, Alvin and Dorothy Fox; Marilyn and Roger Nun, and the two sons-in-law. Two brothers and six sisters also remain. They are Nellie (Mrs. Henry Gaweka) of Batavia, Ill., Mina (Mrs. Charles Johnson) of Stockton, Cal., Etta, (Mrs. Ed Johnson) of Monteca, Cal., Frances, (Mrs. Otto Rohr) of Sacramento, Cal., Harley Warner of Lawver, Wyo., Lois (Mrs. Clarence Larsen) of Denver, Co., Dayton Warner of Ashland, Ore., and Sarah (Mrs. Richard Williamson of Denver, other relatives and a wide circle of friends. Her father and mother preceded her in death, but she was the first of this large family of children to pass on. The funeral service was held from the Kritner chapel, Friday, at 2 p. m. Rev. Maude V. Mann officiated with Mrs. Oscar Nelson in charge of the music. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. Source: The Nebraska Signal 4 Nov. 1948
