Description	:	March 9, 2011 Mary V. Welser Star Beacon JEFFERSON — Mary V. Welser, age 100, of S. Market St., Jefferson, died Monday afternoon, March 7, 2011, at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby. She was born July 5, 1910, in Grassy Meadow, W.Va., the daughter of Henry and Connie (Fink) Flack and had lived in this area since 1916. She was married to Clifford "Ted" Welser on August 12, 1938 in Cherry Valley. Mrs. Welser worked several years in the cafeteria at Jefferson Elementary School. Welser, age 100, of S. Market St., Jefferson, died Monday afternoon, March 7, 2011, at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby. She was born July 5, 1910, in Grassy Meadow, W.Va., the daughter of Henry and Connie (Fink) Flack and had lived in this area since 1916. She was married to Clifford "Ted" Welser on August 12, 1938 in Cherry Valley. Mrs. Welser worked several years in the cafeteria at Jefferson Elementary School. She was a member of Jefferson Church of the Nazarene and served the church in many capacities, doing missionary work, Sunday school teacher and president of the youth group. She was an all around homemaker and enjoyed doing word puzzles, reading, gardening, vacationing at their cottage in Canada and most of all, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara A. (Glade) Heath of Jefferson; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph Flack of Hallendale, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ted on August 15, 2010; two sons, Keith and Ronald Welser; and brothers, Arlie, Tyree, Howard and Lewis Flack. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, March 11th, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with Pastor Rod Kincaid, of Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, and the Rev. Meredith Coleman, of Jefferson United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, 55 E.
