This is particularly true of one who has lived the quiet but potent life of a wife and mother, giving herself to her home. Of the one whose body lies here, but who has to lately gone on to her eternal home, the following are the events of her life which call for mention at this time: Mary Wheeler was the daughter of John Richard and Anna Eliza Boyd Wheeler . She was born in Baltimore County, Maryland on December 1, 1852 and died at her home in Victor, Iowa on April 6, 1917. At the age of three she came with her parents to Victor, and her life was spent in this vicinity. She was married to Andrew C Wilson on June 3, 1873. To this union were born four children; a daughter, Mrs Walter R Nixon of Victor and three sons; Harry Wilson of Walcott, Iowa; Woodburn W Wilson and Sidney Wilson of Victor. There are two grandchildren, Mildred and Orville Wilson. The deceased is survived also by three sisters and a brother; Mrs Will Leeper of Newton, Iowa; Mrs Jake Slaymaker and Mrs Cora Gorsuch of Victor, Iowa and Charles C Wheeler of Belle Plaine, Iowa. Mrs Wilson lived a very quiet but an exceedingly useful life, filled to the full and unostentatious labors of love. She was a wife, loyal in all the demands of that relationship. She was a mother beloved, who gracious memory abides as a sweet incense. She was a friend, genial, kindly, helpful, unselfish. This life had brought to her a calm trust in the goodness of God, and she went out into the eternal years as she had lived, quietly and trustfully. She was a good woman, a true child of God, who found a worth work to do in life and did it worthily. The funeral was helped at the house, Monday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. Ruvkendall officiating. Interment was made in the IOOF Cemetery. Card of Thanks We wish to thank our neighbors and friends for the many expressions of friendship and sympathy they have shown us in our recent bereavement.
