Marybelle was born June 15, 1928, in Waterbury, Neb. the daughter of Louis J. and Mabel "Belle" (Olander) Voss. She married Claude V. Reed August 20, 1946. He died on August 29, 1960. She married Oliver "Ollie" Wolfe on November 22, 1969, in Elk Point, S.D. He died on July 15, 1986, in Sioux City. Marybelle taught embroidery classes, assisted with 4-H, did Home Health Care for the elderly and terminally ill and also assisted with dance lessons. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary No. 175. She initiated the fund drive for the air conditioning for Providence Hall in Jackson and was involved with and received an award for the volunteer work she did for the Veterans' Memorial in Jackson. Survivors include four daughters, Claudette and her husband Larry Albenesius of Jackson, Carolyn and her husband Ed Frazee of Sioux City, Barbara and her husband Gene Formanek of Elberon, Iowa, Donna Reed of South Sioux City; a daughter-in-law Christine Thacker Reed of South Sioux City; two sisters-in-law; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son Joe Reed; three brothers, Michael, August, and Chris Voss; a sister Mildred Gill; and a granddaughter Karen.
