Description	:	Mathilda Suing Rites Are Held Burial Made From St. John's Church FORDYCE--Funeral services for Mrs. Mathilda Suing, 91, who died Wednesday May 18, at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tiggs, were held at 9:30 Saturday morning from St. John the Baptist church here with Rev. Peter Vanderlann officiating. Burial was made in St. John's cemetery here under the direction of the Wintz Mortuary. Pallbearers were: Albert, James, Marvin, John and Leander Suing and Jerome Meirose. Mathilda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Becker, was born December 19, 1857, at Dubuque, Ia. She made her home there until 1859 when she came to Cedar county with her parents and spent the remainder of her life here. She was married to John B. Suing at St. Helena January 21, 1878. Mr. Suing died October 21, 1921. The past three years have been spent in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Tigges. She was a member of St. John's church and of the Christian Mothers of that parish. She is survived by four sons, John F. of Butte, George J. of Wynot, Zeno O., of Hartington and Alfred E. of Oceanlake, Ore.; four daughters, Mrs. Laura Arens and Mrs. Chas. (Alma) Tigges of Fordyce, Mrs. Edna Suing of Fordyce and Mrs. Nora Meirose of Wall, S. D.; 33 grandchldren; 50 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Feiner and Mrs. Josephine Suing of St. Helena; and three brothers, Joe, Bernard and Frank Becker of St. Helena. Two sons preceded her in death. All of her children except Alfred were here to attend the funeral. Others from out of town were Mrs. Magdaline Dettmer and son, and the Misses Mathilda and Mary Suing of Sioux City and Mrs. Lourine Miller of Ponca. +++ On their marriage certificate, her name is written as Miss Mary Mathilda Becker.
