Description	:	Cedar County News, July 3, 1968 MRS. CHARLES TIGGES DIED AT RESIDENCE Mrs. Charles Tigges, 73, was found dead at her home in Fordyce Thursday, June 27. Graveside services were conducted by Rev. Joseph Oertli Friday, June 28 at St. John's Cemetery in Fordyce. Memorial funeral services were held Monday, July 1 at St. John the Baptist church with Rev. Cyril Werner officiating. The Smith Wintz Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were Gerald and Charles Bruning, Robert Haag, Galen and Duane Pinkelman and Fred Sternberg. Alma Mary Suing was born November 12, 1894 at Fordyce, the daughter of John Suing and Matilda Becker Suing. She was married to Charles Tigges May 18, 1915 at Fordyce and they resided their entire life in Fordyce. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic church, The St. John Guild and the Christian Mothers Society. Survivors include three sisters: Mrs. Laura Arens of Napa, Ca, Miss Edna Suing of Fordyce and Mrs. Nora Meirose of Sturgis, SD; two brothers, Zeno Suing of Hartington and Alfred of Ocean Lake, Or, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Tigges preceded her in death in 1966.
