Thrasher of 553 Ray street, died at her home at 11:20 p.m. Saturday after a long illness. She was the daughter of Johnson and Rebecca Coffman Matheney and was born in Kirksville, Mo., on August 26, 1882. She had resided in Ottumwa for 44 years and was a member of the Harding Park Open Bible church. Her marriage to Thomas J. Thrasher took place on November 11, 1900, in Lewis county, Missouri. Among survivors include a son, Amos Thrasher of Ottumwa; seven daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Yates of Richmond, Calif., Mrs. Viola Strader of Riverside, Calif., Mrs. Pearl Whitledge of Fresno, Calif., Mrs. Dorothy Bailey of El Sobrante, Calif., Mrs. Betty Winningham of San Pablo, Calf., and Mrs. Mae Miller and Mrs. Lola Curry, both of Ottumwa; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, W.D. Matheney of Ottumwa; and a sister, Mrs. Grace Monical of Houston, Tex. She was preceded in death by a daughter, four sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Johnson funeral chapel with the Rev. L.C. Card of the First Church of the Open Bible in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
