Description	:	Mrs Matilda Anderson Mrs Matilda Anderson was born in Engle Holm, Sweden, May 16, 1852, and died at her home in Marquette, Nebraska, April 4th, 1923 at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 18 days. She was united in marriage to Frank Anderson in 1875 at Brooklyn, New York. To this union were born five children, two sons and three daughters. They are Hattie Williams of Olathe, Kas., Henry of Marquette, George of Pingree, Idaho, Sadie Land of Marquette, Josephine Stewart having preceeded her mother to the Eternal shores. Read More	Mrs Matilda Anderson Mrs Matilda Anderson was born in Engle Holm, Sweden, May 16, 1852, and died at her home in Marquette, Nebraska, April 4th, 1923 at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 18 days. She was united in marriage to Frank Anderson in 1875 at Brooklyn, New York. To this union were born five children, two sons and three daughters. They are Hattie Williams of Olathe, Kas., Henry of Marquette, George of Pingree, Idaho, Sadie Land of Marquette, Josephine Stewart having preceeded her mother to the Eternal shores. Mr and Mrs Anderson came to this country in 1872 and to Nebraska in 1879, and to Hamilton County soon after. Here Mrs Anderson has since resided, where she is well known and where her memory will long be cherished. At the age of 15 years she united with the Lutheran church and gave her heart to the Lord and among all her great circle of friends she has been known as a devoted Christian. Those who knew Grandma best loved her most. Hers was a sweet, gentle lefe and she will be greatly missed as a good neighbor and kind and loving friend and a devoted wife and mother. She considered her life not her own but devoted it to the services of others. She was one who had but little to say about her religion but rather she busied herself living the Christian kind, helping where help was needed. She has crossed over and she leaves on this side of Eternity to mourn her departure, her husband, two sons, two daughters, thirteen grand children, besided the great circle of friends she has drawn into her life who will mourn the loss of her presence among them. She is gone, her trials past, She has no burdens now to bear; No dark clouds her way o'er cast, Her bosom knows no more of care. She is gone, her weary soul, Freed from its tenement of clay, Bathes in seas of bliss untold, Throughout one long Eternal day. She is gone, may we prepare To follow in the path she trod; May we reach that home so fair, And dwell forever with our God. A short service was held at the home at two o'clock, after which the regular funeral services were held at the Methodist church at 2:30 on Friday afternoon. Following the service the body was laid in its final resting place in Richland cemetery. Rev I G Hopkins of Giltner, a former pastor, conducted the services assisted by Rev W T Taylor. Card of Thans We desire to thank the many kind friends and neighbors who assisted by word and deed during the sickness and death of our beloved wife and mother. Also for the beautiful floral offerings. Especially do we thank Rev Hopkins, and Mrs V G Johnson, Mrs T A Ortegren, W S Seiver and T W Seiver for the beautiful song rendered.
