Woodrow Hunter, bishop of First Ward and Larry West, Second Ward bishop, were speakers. Pallbearers were Earl McKenzie, Robert Flor, Ernest Farmer, Robert Maxwel, Myron Megeath and Floyd Kaul. Mrs. Jones, 86, of 1024 Lincoln Avenue, died Saturday, April 25, in the Sweetwater County Memorial Hospital, where she had been in ill health since January. Born August 24, 1877, in Montezuma, Iowa, Mrs. Jones has made her home in Rock Springs for 18 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius Walter Jones, July 14, 1927, and one daughter, Frances (Mrs. Edward Gold), Aug. 5, 1963, in Lincoln, Neb. Survivors are two sons, L.W. (Jack) Jones of Rock Springs and LaVelle Thomas Jones of LeGrande, Ore.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones was a member of Ward I, LDS Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Attending the services from out-of-town were Edward Gold, son-in-law of Mrs. Jones, from Lincoln, Neb.; Lavelle Jones of LeGrande, Ore.; Mrs. Hazel Means, niece, of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Jones and daughter, Charris, of Worland, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Toole, of Coalville, Utah. With the exception of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Toole, the family accompanied the body to Nebraska for the services and burial there.
