Description	:	The Oakland Independent December 1, 1966 Mrs. Jorgensen Services Monday Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Uehling Congregational church for Mrs. Lars (Mathilda) Jorgensen, 80, a former Uehling resident, who passed away at Richmond, Calif. Nov. 24. Pastor R. O. Louthan officiated at the services. Charles Landholm was soloist and Mrs. Russell Uehling was organist. Pallbearers were Harold Jorgensen of Springview, Leslie Colling of Fremont, Walter Maas of Scribner, Keith Jorgensen of Overland Park, Kan., LaVern Moseman of Oakland and Kermit Meyer. Burial was at St. Pauls Lutheran Church Cemetery, west of Uehling. Mrs. Matilda Louise (Meyer) Jorgensen was born May 23, 1886 to Mr. and Mrs. Johann Gerhardt Meyer of near Hooper. She was confirmed at St. Pauls Lutheran Church near Hooper on May 31, 1901. She was united in marriage to Lars Jorgensen June 19, 1907. To this union were born four children. Mr. and Mrs. Jorgensen resided here several years, then homesteaded in South Dakota. They also lived at Springview before returning to Uehling. For the past 23 years they have made their home in California. Mrs. Jorgensen was a member of the Uehling Congregational Church and a teacher in that church school. She later transferred her membership to Grace Lutheran Church in Richmond, Calif. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Oakland Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Lars of Richmond, Calif.; two sons, Lloyd of Richmond, Clifford of El Cerito, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Irving Larson of Uehling; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren; one brother, John G. Meyer of Uehling, four sisters, Mrs. Hans Jorgensen of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. William Slee of Walden, Colo., Mrs. G. J. Wurdueman of Omaha and Mrs. Henry Dicke of Stratton. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles, her parents, three sisters, Mrs. Charles Hen Oakland, Herman Meyer of Scribner, Diedrich Meyer and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Henneman, Springview, Mrs. Wm. Henneman, Oakland, Calif. and Mrs. Joe Marsh, Colome, S. D.
