Description	:	Mrs. Wm. B. Shell, died Friday. May 24, at her home, 722 North Oak Street, aged 82 years, 2 months, and 26 days. Funeral service was held at 2:30 Sunday from the Christian Church, conducted by Rev. L.T. Faulders. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Matilda Noffsinger was born February 28, 1847, in Ohio. When quite young she moved with her parents to Missouri, where she grew to womanhood and was married to Wm. B. Shell on February 4, 1869. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Matilda Noffsinger was born February 28, 1847, in Ohio. When quite young she moved with her parents to Missouri, where she grew to womanhood and was married to Wm. B. Shell on February 4, 1869. To this union five children were born, two of whom preceded her in death. A son William Albert died in infancy, and a daughter, Mary died in 1910. Mr. and Mrs. Shell moved to Kansas in 1885, settling in Nemaha county, where they lived until 1903 when they moved to Greenwood county on a farm southwest of Eureka, remaining on the farm for two years, at the end of which time they moved to Eureka where they were living at the time death came to her. Those left to mourn her death are the aged husband, Wm. B. Shell, three children, Mrs. Ella Wallace, of Nortonville, Kansas, Mrs. George Graves and Mr. Chas. B. Shell, of Eureka, five grandchildren, and an only sister, Mrs. A.E, Hall of Murdock, Kansas. She has been a member of the Christian Church since young womanhood and was loved and respected by all who knew her, From Eureka Herald 27 May 1929 page 1.
