Description	:	OBITUARY- Mrs. Matilda Zinn Mrs. Matilda Zinn died February 23 at the home of her son, Aaron Zinn, in Van Wert County, after a few hours illness at the age of 85 years and 9 days. She was born in Adams County, PA, Feb 14, 1820 and was married on June 14, 1838 to Daniel R. Zinn. They were parents of 12 (twelve) children, eight sons and four daughters. Read More	OBITUARY- Mrs. Matilda Zinn Mrs. Matilda Zinn died February 23 at the home of her son, Aaron Zinn, in Van Wert County, after a few hours illness at the age of 85 years and 9 days. She was born in Adams County, PA, Feb 14, 1820 and was married on June 14, 1838 to Daniel R. Zinn. They were parents of 12 (twelve) children, eight sons and four daughters. Three daughters and one son, with the husband, preceded her in death, the latter dying January 12, 1870 She and her husband were members of the Reformed church, the church at the time being located 4 miles northwest of North Hampton, this county, and later they joined the church located in that village, of which she was a member until her death. She is survived by an aged sister, Mrs. Rachael Heck of North Hampton, who is the last of a family of seven. Of her own family, Mrs. Zinn leaves 7 (seven) sons, and 1 (one) daughter, 48 (forty-eight) grandchildren and 64 (sixty-four) great-grandchildren. The funeral services were conducted from the Reformed church at North Hampton by the Pastor, Rev. K.C. Paul, who spoke from John 14:3, to a large concourse of relatives and acquaintances. The body was laid to rest in Black's Cemetery, north of New Carlisle. Brief services were held Friday, February 24, at the home of her son Aaron, in Van Wert, where she died, the Rev. W.R. Burton, of the M.E. Church, speaking from Psalms 90-10. Her body was accompanied to Troy by her sons, A.S. and W.N. Zinn, and her daughter, Mrs. Sarah Freeze, who were in attendance at the funeral. Another son, David, his wife and son and three daughters of Dayton also attended the funeral. Those present from abroad were Richard Zinn, of Troy, Ohio, Lydia Eather and G.M. Zinn, or New Carlisle, Ohio, Amanda Bess of Dayton, Ohio, Edward S. And Wm. Zinn, or Allen County Indiana, Aaron S. Zinn of Van Wert County, Silas A Freeze, and sons Cletus and Irvin Freeze, of Casstown, Ohio, Christopher Smith and Wife, of Clark County, Ohio Marselles Smith, of Troy Ohio, and A.Z. Smith, of North Hampton, Ohio. One brother in Chicago did not get here.
