Description	:	Hold Final Service For Mrs. Chambers Mrs. J.L. Chambers, an old resident of this community, passed away at a Lincoln hospital last Tuesday afternoon. She had been ill for several months but her condition had not been regarded as being particularly dangerous until recently. Maud Eloise Cheney was born on a farm two and one-half miles west of Bennet, Neb., on December 26, 1876, and departed this life on May 24, 1938, at the age of 61 years, 4 months and 28 days. Chambers, an old resident of this community, passed away at a Lincoln hospital last Tuesday afternoon. She had been ill for several months but her condition had not been regarded as being particularly dangerous until recently. Maud Eloise Cheney was born on a farm two and one-half miles west of Bennet, Neb., on December 26, 1876, and departed this life on May 24, 1938, at the age of 61 years, 4 months and 28 days. The deceased has lived all her life in the Bennet community, with the exception of two years, during which time, she resided at Normal. On February 25, 1903, she was united in marriage to Joe L. Chambers, and to this union three children were born. She became a true member of the church early in life, and was a kind and loving wife and mother; a faithful friend to all who knew her. Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, Leland and Oren of Bennet; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Doran of Belle Plaine, Iowa; five grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Eleanor Wheeler of Gageby, Tex. Also a host of other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church Friday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. E.W. Nye, pastor of the Community church, officiating.
