Description	:	BENNET MAN DIES SUDDENLY IN COLORADO J.L. Chambers, one of the few remaining pioneers of the Bennet community, was found dead in his car last Wednesday at Estes Park, Colo. The body was found by two grandsons, Ivan and Dwight Doran of Lincoln, who accompanied him to the park. Chambers, one of the few remaining pioneers of the Bennet community, was found dead in his car last Wednesday at Estes Park, Colo. Mr. Chambers had long been a sufferer from Asthma and hay fever and had slept in a bed installed in his car while the boys slept in a cabin. Physicians attribute his death to heart failure. Joseph Lloyd Chambers was born at Rock Grove, Ill., on April 21, 1875, and departed this life on August 27, 1947, at Estes Park, Colo., at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 6 days. He came to Nebraska with his parents at the age of three years and lived on a farm near Bennet since that time. On Feb. 25, 1903, he was united in marriage to Maud E. Cheney, who preceded him in death nine years ago. To this union three children were born: Leland, Evelyn and Oren. He became a true member of the church early in life. He was a kind and loving husband and father, a faithful friend to all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his passing one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Doran of Lincoln, and two sons, Leland and Oren, both of Bennet, seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Kathryn Flanagan of Lincoln. Also, a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from the Bennet Presbyterian church, Rev. Kenneth Locke officiating. Burial as in the Bennet cemetery.
