Read More	Ossian Journal Wells County, Indiana Dec. 6, 1918 YOUNG MOTHER DIES After two weeks of illness due to pneumonia following influenza, Mrs. Elmer Davison, southeast of Ossian, fell asleep at her farm home a little before seven o'clock Tuesday morning. The lady contracted the trouble after her little sons Gaile and Elihu had had the disease, and although the little lads easily recovered and the father of the family did not take the contagion, the wife and mother was the one called to leave two little children motherless and a home vacant. The patient had been very sick indeed, and on Tuesday of last week a little son was born who immediately expired. Since last Sunday she had been in an unconscious condition and was kept under the influence of medicine to subdue the intense suffering. A brief sketch of the life of the deceased will read as follows: Maude Johnson was born near Wilshire, Ohio, Nov. 10th, 1889, and was the daughter of Elihu Johnson, who still lives near that city. Her mother passed away when she was but two years of age, and she spent a great deal of her life near Tocsin in the home of her grandfather, Rev. Johnson, well know in this community. She was married to Elmer Davison twelve years ago and is survived by her husband and two sons, Gaile aged ten years, and Elihu five. One brother, Rev. Albert Johnson, of Rockford, Ohio; the father and four sisters also survive. The sisters are Mrs. Charles LeMarr, of Rockford, Ohio; Mrs. Marcellus Davison, of near Pleasant Mills; Mrs. Otto Johnson, of Tocsin, and Mrs. Oliver Buck, of this city. The deceased was a devoted member of the United Brethren church and in that faith when she died. The funeral occurred Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the farm home, the remains being viewed by the sorrowing relatives and friends through the window. Interment at Tocsin.
