Description	:	Maude Alta Danker, a life-long resident of Boyd County, Nebraska, was born March 19, 1896 at Anoka and passed away October 28, 1994. Maude was born on her parents homestead northeast of Anoka to Paul and Perlie Danker. In 1903 the family moved to a farm two miles east of Anoka on the Ponca Creek where they lived until 1917. Maude lived with and cared for parents at Anoka from 1917 to 1943 when she and her mother purchased a home in Butte. Maude maintained her residence in Butte for 51 years. ... Read More	Maude Alta Danker, a life-long resident of Boyd County, Nebraska, was born March 19, 1896 at Anoka and passed away October 28, 1994. Maude was born on her parents homestead northeast of Anoka to Paul and Perlie Danker. In 1903 the family moved to a farm two miles east of Anoka on the Ponca Creek where they lived until 1917. Maude lived with and cared for parents at Anoka from 1917 to 1943 when she and her mother purchased a home in Butte. Maude maintained her residence in Butte for 51 years. The last three years of her life she was a resident of the Butte Nursing Home. She enjoyed life at the Home and was very appreciative of the care she received. Maude had a great talent for needlework, and especially like to quilt--a skill learned from her perfectionist grandmother. Maude liked to tell about having to rip out the stitches if they didn't please her grandmother. She also enjoyed a good Pitch game. Maude was a member of the Butte Community Bible Church and attended regularly as long as health permitted. Maude was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Perlie Danker, two sisters Myrtle Derry and Gladys Schaffer and two brothers Harland and Evert Danker. She is survived by two nieces and two nephews; Kay Olson, Pickstown, SD; Patricia Larson, Washington, IL; Robert Derry, Wood, SD and William Danker, Oceanside, CA and also their spouses and children. Maude often stated that her good loyal neighbors, the Joe Lechtenbergs and daughter Jolene, were family to her. She left this life believing, as she always did, that Boyd County people were the very best.
