Description	:	Maude and James were married January 22, 1905 in Empire, Leelanau, Michigan, having received permission by her father to marry. She was 16-years old, her mother died when Maude 11-years-old and father remarried and moved to Denver. Maude and James had eight children and she became ill with what was known as "dropsy" (now known as Adema) when her youngest son, Chester, was three years old. Her daughter Olive remembered for years how her little brother stood at his mothers casket in the living room of their home and weeped a child's tears at the loss of his mother.
