Description	:	Max A. Epley, 74, of Pleasanton died Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society in Ravenna. Max was born June 25, 1936, in Cheyenne Wells, Colo., to Elmer and Mildred (Hird) Epley. On Oct. 6, 1955, he married Beverly Lindner in Kearney. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Kim Scoville and her husband, Steve, of Elwood; sons, Michael Epley and his wife, Mary, of Belle Plaine, Kan., and Kelly Epley and Patrick Epley and his wife, Heide, all of Pleasanton; sister, Norma Peterson of Kearney; sisters-in-law, Roberta Epley and Loretta Epley, both of Pleasanton; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Max was born June 25, 1936, in Cheyenne Wells, Colo., to Elmer and Mildred (Hird) Epley. On Oct. 6, 1955, he married Beverly Lindner in Kearney. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Kim Scoville and her husband, Steve, of Elwood; sons, Michael Epley and his wife, Mary, of Belle Plaine, Kan., and Kelly Epley and Patrick Epley and his wife, Heide, all of Pleasanton; sister, Norma Peterson of Kearney; sisters-in-law, Roberta Epley and Loretta Epley, both of Pleasanton; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He graduated from Pleasanton High School with the class of 1954. Max enlisted in the U.S. Army after high school and served his country during the Korean War. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pleasanton. Max will always be remembered for his musical ability and sense of humor. He also enjoyed woodworking and was an avid reader.
