Description	:	Max "Mac" Frink, 79, of Clements died Friday in a Stockton hospital following a lengthy illness. A native of Bowman-Newcastle area, he had lived in Clements for 41 years. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Teichert Construction Company and the Claude C. Wood Co., prior to his retirement. Mr. Frink was a member of Grace Church of Lockeford, the San Joaquin Masonic Lodge No. 19, the Operating Engineers Union Local 3, the Ione Parlor of the Native Sons of the Golden West, and honorary member of the Clements Buckaroos. A native of Bowman-Newcastle area, he had lived in Clements for 41 years. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Teichert Construction Company and the Claude C. Wood Co., prior to his retirement. Mr. Frink was a member of Grace Church of Lockeford, the San Joaquin Masonic Lodge No. 19, the Operating Engineers Union Local 3, the Ione Parlor of the Native Sons of the Golden West, and honorary member of the Clements Buckaroos. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dode" Frink of Clements; one son, Kim Frink of Linden; one daughter, Mervel Johnson of Valley Springs; one brother, Lauriston Frink of Newcastle; two sisters, Norma Hancock of Sacramento and Anita Ayres of Ophir; and three grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday in the Chapel of Gierhart & Wells Funeral Home, with Pastor John Eichholz of Grace Church of Lockeford officiating. Private inurment will be in Glen View Cemetery in Clements. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Lodi News-Sentinel Monday May 18, 1987
