Services at Bender with burial at Eel River Cemetery. Fulton County, Indiana Max M. Leckrone Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in The Bender funeral home at North Manchester for Max. M. LECKRONE, 51, R.R. 1, North Manchester who died at 2:30 a.m. Monday in the Veterans hospital in Fort Wayne. Mr. Leckrone was the former owner and operator of the Leckrone hardward store in Akron. Mr. Leckrone had been in ill health for the past six weeks. Born July 3, 1912 near Silver Lake, he was the son of David and Elizabeth SNET LECKRONE. His mother survives. He was a lifetime resident of the Akron and North Manchester areas. Mr. Leckrone was a member of the Akron American Legion, the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and the Akron Methodist church. He was a World War II veteran. Surviving with the mother, Mrs. David LECKRONE, R.R. 1, North Manchester, are three daughters, Sheila Jane, Sharon Ann and Sally Jean [LECKRONE], all of Akron, and three brothers, Dwight [LECKRONE], North Manchester; Herbert H. [LECKRONE], R.R. 2, North Manchester, and Delmar [LECKRONE], Wabash. The Rev. Claude FAWNS of Akron will officiate at the services and burial will be in the Eel River cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
