Description	:	Maxine Lavone (Anderson) Crisman, 81 years of age, of Hastings, Nebraska (formerly of Holdrege) passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010 at her son's residence in Hastings. Maxine was born July 11, 1929 at Elm Creek, Nebraska, the youngest of two daughters born to Reuben O. and Esther Amanda (Edgren) Anderson. Read More	Maxine Lavone (Anderson) Crisman, 81 years of age, of Hastings, Nebraska (formerly of Holdrege) passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010 at her son's residence in Hastings. Maxine was born July 11, 1929 at Elm Creek, Nebraska, the youngest of two daughters born to Reuben O. and Esther Amanda (Edgren) Anderson. Maxine was confirmed at the Holcomb Evangelical Free Church north of Holdrege. She received her primary education at the Pleasant Valley Rural School south of Elm Creek and then attended Holdrege High School prior to her family moving to Grand Island, Nebraska. Maxine then graduated from Grand Island Senior High School with the class of 1946. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior as a teenager. Maxine worked as a telephone operator in Grand Island, Holdrege, Omaha, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Chicago, Illinois. On August 15, 1957 she was united in marriage to Samuel Russell (Sam) Crisman, Jr. and to this union two sons were born: Gary Lee who passed away in infancy and Roger A. The family made their home in Omaha, Nebraska, where Maxine was employed by the Metropolitan Utility District for several years. In 1977, the family moved back to Holdrege, where they were members of the Trinity Evangelical Free Church and the Emmaus Evangelical Free Church north of Funk, Nebraska. In 2008, Maxine and Sam relocated to Hastings to be near their son and his family. The couple enjoyed traveling, Maxine also enjoyed shopping, counted cross-stitch, loved to talk on the phone and most of all she loved to read her bible, which she read six times cover to cover. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Samuel (Sam), Jr; son, Roger Crisman and his wife, Amy; grandson, Sammy James Crisman all of Hastings; sister, Arlene Laurinat and her husband, Ed of North Platte, Nebraska; and a host of other relatives and friends. Besides her one son, Maxine was preceded in death by her parents.
