Description	:	Maxine P. Shagsta, 86, of Keosauqua, died at 7:19 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Born Aug. 19, 1919, near Stockport, she was the daughter of Talbott D. and Ella Brown Morris. She first married Harry Carpenter and they divorced. She later married Charles Shagsta and they too divorced. Mrs. Shagsta owned a furniture factory in Urbana, Mo. Born Aug. 19, 1919, near Stockport, she was the daughter of Talbott D. and Ella Brown Morris. She first married Harry Carpenter and they divorced. She later married Charles Shagsta and they too divorced. Mrs. Shagsta owned a furniture factory in Urbana, Mo. She was a 1938 graduate of Stockport High School and attended jewelry engraving school at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. She lived in Florida and Missouri and moved to Keosauqua in 1991. She was a member of Keosauqua Christian Church and volunteered at Center Village and Good Samaritan care centers in Keosauqua. Survivors include 24 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one of whom was her twin, and three sisters. There will be no visitation. Her body has been cremated. The memorial service for Mrs. Shagsta will be at a later date. Memorials have been established for Keosauqua Christian Church and Morris Park in Stockport and may be mailed to Marilyn Boley, 141 N.
