Description	:	Maxwell Ryals McKinnie "Mack Ryals" (May 3, 1941-April 5, 2014) passed away peacefully at his home on his farm surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong farmer whose career started in childhood. He farmed alongside his father and passed his love for the land to his son Fred. Read More	Maxwell Ryals McKinnie "Mack Ryals" (May 3, 1941-April 5, 2014) passed away peacefully at his home on his farm surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong farmer whose career started in childhood. He farmed alongside his father and passed his love for the land to his son Fred. The proudest and most rewarding times of his life was working alongside Fred and when he could no longer work watching Fred carry on his life's work. Mack Ryals never met a stranger. Family, friends, and neighbors could always count on an impromptu visit to relive childhood memories or to drop off fresh produce. Mack Ryals lived to provide for and to be with his family and friends. He was a true farmer with no hobbies other than caring for his land and keeping watch over his cows. He never had any desires to travel far from his farm or Jackson County. However, at this time in his life he was ready to journey to the fertile fields of heaven. Mack Ryals is survived by Elizabeth, his faithful and loving wife of 46 years. His son, Fred, daughter, Vikki, husband Butch Bundy and his "precious" granddaughter Payton. His brothers, Jerry McKinnie and wife Maria, Oscar McKinnie and wife Katie. His sisters Essie and husband Coy Lee Baxter, Tessie Poole, Margaret Robbirds and husband Woody , and Shirley Pelham. Mack is also survived by a host of niece and nephews and friends that he adored. He is preceded in death by his parents, Brady "Mack" and Maggie McKinnie and infant brother Brady Jr. McKinnie. Services for Mack will be held at 2:00 P.M. CST on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in the Salem Wesleyan Church with Rev. Roger Meyers & Rev. Jack Howell officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Wesleyan Church Cemetery. A time of remembrance will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Salem Wesleyan Church. A special thanks to his caregiver, our angel, Carrie Rickman. The family would also like to thank the caring physicians, nurses and staff in Tallahassee for helping him fight the good fight.
