Description	:	Boone County Democrat 1900 Mrs. Edward Hoyer died at the home of William Pilcher, just west of the Fifth ward on Tuesday evening at 6:30 o'clock. The deceased had been ill for some time and for the past two week hovered between life and death. Blood poisoning was the cause of her demise. The deceased had been ill for some time and for the past two week hovered between life and death. Blood poisoning was the cause of her demise. Mrs. Hoyer nee Mary Butler, was born in Wyoming twenty five years ago. In 1894 she became the wife of Edward Hoyer and a couple of years later removed to this country, which has since been their home. Within a year Mr. and Mrs. Hoyer have lost three children. Besides a kind loving husband, Mrs. Hoyer leaves a father, mother, two brothers and two sisters. Her mother and sister, Alberta arrived about ten days ago and were at her bedside when death came. Her husband is a grandson of William Pilcher one of the few surviving pioneers of the early days in Boone county. The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the house and the Christian church at 2 o'clock. Rev. J.M. Hoffman officiate. The remains were laid to rest in East Linwood. The Democrat extends its sincere sympathy to the bereaved husband and relatives in their hour of sorrow.
