Description	:	Maybell Mary Mason, the daughter of Mable A. (Majorowiez) and Orville M. Gibson, was born May 18, 1912 at Bradford, Minnesota. Maybell departed this life on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the Stoneybrook Nursing Home in Manhattan, Kansas, at the age of 99 years, 3 months and 3 days. Maybell spent her early years in South Dakota. Maybell departed this life on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the Stoneybrook Nursing Home in Manhattan, Kansas, at the age of 99 years, 3 months and 3 days. Maybell spent her early years in South Dakota. She was united in marriage with Craig Wood in 1941 at Eagle Butte, South Dakota. Her husband, Craig, died in 1971. She moved to Lebanon, Kansas in 1974, where she lived for many years. In 1987 she moved to Texas where she was married to Clarence Mason. They later moved to Olney, Colorado to make their home, where Clarence passed away. Maybell lived for a time at the nursing home in Ordway, Colorado before moving to Manhattan, Kansas to be near her family. In her leisure time Maybell enjoyed quilting, crafts and working in her garden. She always looked forward to a game of bingo and playing cards with her many friends. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands; a sister, Ida; three brothers, Earl, Milton and Ralph. Left to treasure her memory are her son, Willie Gibson of Riley, Kansas; six grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, 10:30 a.m., August 29, 2011 at the Christian Church in Lebanon, Kansas with Pastor Lance McDowell officiating. Interment was in the Sweet Home Cemetery, Lebanon, KS.
