She later attended and graduated from National Business Training School in Sioux City. On Nov 7, 1942 she married William Alan Grawburg in Ithaca, NY. He preceded her in death Oct. 15, 1998. They worked together and were self-employed in commercial bookkeeping. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Melba was a life long member of the Cherokee Community Theater. She was a workaholic and enjoyed bird watching. She was proud of her Irish heritage. Survivors include 3 daughters: Alana K. Aarsen of Wichita, Kan.; Niann G. Cooper of Bay St. Louis, Miss, Enola G. Peters and her husband Joe of Sioux City; sister Eileen Gravrok and her husband Bob of Bloomington, Minn.; brothers Delmar Lynch and his wife Sylvia of Burbank. S.D.; Robert Lynch also of Burbank; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister (LuVerne Lynch) two sons-in-law (Johannes Aarsen and Bill Cooper).
