Description	:	Melcena Francis Scott, daughter of Allen and Jane Scott, was bom January 29, 1873 at Marysville, Missouri, and departed this life, November 11, 1963 at Alma following a long illness. She was the last member of her family of eight children and had reached the age of 90 years, 9 months and 12 days. She came with her family at the age of seven years to the Beaver City community which was her home until she was united in marriage to Louis Longsine on December 24, 1891. Read More	Melcena Francis Scott, daughter of Allen and Jane Scott, was bom January 29, 1873 at Marysville, Missouri, and departed this life, November 11, 1963 at Alma following a long illness. She was the last member of her family of eight children and had reached the age of 90 years, 9 months and 12 days. She came with her family at the age of seven years to the Beaver City community which was her home until she was united in marriage to Louis Longsine on December 24, 1891. They were privileged to enjoy a happy long life together until his death in 1950. She was also preceded in death by one son, Clyde, in 1961. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Stamford. She was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed a large circle of friends throughout her long lifetime. She leaves to mourn her passing four children. William of Portland, Oregon; Archie of Lexington; Merlin of Lexington and Madeline Coffey of Stamford. She is also survived by ten grandchildren. 31 great grandchildren and three great ' great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral was conducted at the Mitchell Funeral home at Oxford on November 13, 1963 with Rev. C. L. Sheffield, officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Donna Bose and Mrs. Darlene Samples with Mrs. Bertha Beins, pianist. Pall bearers were, Richard Longsine, Robert Longsine, Lee Longsine, Kenneth Longsine, Lorin Longsine and Harold Childress. Interment was in the Stamford Cemetery.
