Description	:	Melvin A. Anderson "the son of Carl Victor and Almina (Karolina) Anderson was born March 13, 1920, at Wausa." "He entered the U.S. Army in 1942 during World War II. His basic training was at Camp Campbell, Ky., with the 12th Armored Division, serving in North Africa and Scotland. He was a member of the 813th tank destroyer battalion that spent time in England preparing for the Normandy Invasion. His Battalion landed on Utah Beach in Normandy and moved across Europe until the war ended in 1945. He was discharged Oct. 1, 1945. He earned six Bronze Stars. Read More	Melvin A.
