Description	:	Melvin Milton Zoellner, 55, passed away March 5, 1957, at St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, following an illness of 5 1/2 months. On December 31, he underwent an operation at the Mayo Clinic at Rochester, Minn., for a brain tumor from which he never completely recovered. Survivors include his wife, Minnie; daughter, Patricia (Mrs. Martin Bonnichsen) of Highmore, S. D.; two sons, Keith of Brookings, S. D., and Gene of Groton; four grandsons and one granddaughter; also two brothers, Roger and Elmer of Groton. Survivors include his wife, Minnie; daughter, Patricia (Mrs. Martin Bonnichsen) of Highmore, S. D.; two sons, Keith of Brookings, S. D., and Gene of Groton; four grandsons and one granddaughter; also two brothers, Roger and Elmer of Groton. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 8, at 2:00 p.m., at the First Presbyterian church in Groton. The Rev. Havey Sander officiated. Musical selections were sung by the church choir, with Mrs. Joe Williams as organist. Burial was in the Groton cemetery. Pallbearers were Gordon Sieh, Eugene Abeln, Oscar Stange, Delbert Clawson, Wilford Dresbach and Algot Johnson. The Paetznick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Zoellner was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian church in Groton and served as a trustee and elder in the church. He was a promoter of better farming and a member of the Aberdeen - Angus Breeders Association. His friendly greeting will be greatly missed and the memory of Melvin Zoellner is held in deep respect by his many friends, relatives and neighbors. Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Martin Bonnichsen and family, Highmore; Keith Zoellner, Brookings; Mrs. Walter Sparks, Denver, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Bartz, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Askling, Reeder, N. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rose, Hettinger, N. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Roman Pulvermacher, Sauk City, Wis.; Frank Barbian, Lodi, Wis.; Mrs. Clara Bonnichsen, Pierre, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hurlburt, Raymond.
