Meta Wegner was born June 4, 1898, in Scribner and married Edward Hoge Feb. 22, 1922, in the former Trinity Lutheran Church near Scribner. They farmed in the Scribner area until moving to Fremont in 1949, where her husband worked for Memorial Hospital of Dodge County, He died in May 1980. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Survivors include: a daughter, Norma (Mrs. Henry) Lorenz of LIncoln; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a husband, a son, five brothers and a sister and a great-grandson. The Rev. Donald Levenhagen will officiate Monday's service. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Ludvigsen Mortuary.
