Description	:	Head-on Crash Kills 5 Persons Mrs. Esther Marie Wolfe, 21, Netawaka, and her three children, died November 25, 1957, from injuries received in a two-vehicle car crash north of Holton. The deceased children are Leona Marie, age 4, Lee William, 22 months, and Michael Allen, 13 days old. His wife, Erma Powers, 70, died in the crash. Another passenger in the Powers vehicle, Frank Mosher, 50 of Whiting, received injuries. Mrs. Wolfe was the wife of Wendell Wolfe, a Netawaka farmer. He was a passenger in their car and received injuries. Two other persons were also injured but survived in the Wolfe car; Margi Lou Rawlins, 25 of Holton, and her daughter, Cheryl Ann, age 4. Funeral services for the Wolfe family were held Nov. 27 at the Christian Church in Holton. Burial was in the Muscotah Cemetery. Mrs. Wolfe was a daughter of Gilbert Jackson of Atchison. She was born at Muscotah on Dec. 19, 1936, where the family formerly lived. Her mother died Nov. 28, 1941. She attended Atchison County Community High School at Effingham. She and Wendell Wolfe were married Jan. 3, 1953. In addition to her husband and her father, she leaves a brother, Harold Wayne Jackson, Phoenix, Ariz., three stepbrothers, Edward, Bobby and Tony Dean Jackson, and a stepsister, Eva Mae Jackson, all of Atchison. She also leaves her paternal grandfather, John Jackson, Atchison, and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rohlfs, Muscotah.
