Description	:	Michael Joseph Burns, 83, of 1012 Burch-av, died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday at his home following an illness of a year. He was born in Glynwood and had been a resident of Lima nearly all his life. He retired from the Lima Locomotive Works, Inc., in 1929 where he had been employed as a boilermaker 30 years. Read More	Michael Joseph Burns, 83, of 1012 Burch-av, died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday at his home following an illness of a year. He was born in Glynwood and had been a resident of Lima nearly all his life. He retired from the Lima Locomotive Works, Inc., in 1929 where he had been employed as a boilermaker 30 years. He was a member of St. Gerard's Catholic church and the Holy Name Society of the church. Surviving are his widow, Bridget; four daughters, Mrs. Harry Watt, 669 S. Main-st; Mrs. William Messmer, 501 E. Elm-st; Mrs. Harry Hrodmaker, Cleveland; and Mrs. Charles Fontenella, Hawthorn, N.J.; a sister, Miss Elizabeth Burns, 1203 S. Main-st; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The body will remain at the Cantwell funeral home where the St. Gerard's Holy Name society will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday to recite the rosary. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Gerard's church with the Rev. James Cotter as celebrant. Burial will be in Gethsemane cemetery.
