Read More	Taken from the Le Mars Wednesday Sentinel, Le Mars, Iowa, Wednesday, April 7, 1954 Mike Weber, 69 Dies Unexpectedly At Home in Oyens Mike Weber, 69, longtime Oyens railroad station agent, died Monday, April 5, at 1:15 p.m. following a heart attack. He had gone to the garage to back his car out when he was stricken. Mike Weber was born in Bauschleiden, Grand Duche of Luxembourg, Sept. 14, 1884. He came to the United States on the steamship Zeeland on Mar. 20, 1905 at the age of 21. Making his home with an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kintzle, near Currie, Minn., he spent the next five years working on farms and Blacksmith shops in Minnesota, South Dakota and Iowa. April 12, 1910, he married Anna Fiedler and then took up railroading and made it his life's work. For the next eight years he moved about and worked as helper, clerk, agent and operator at Primghar, Sherwood, Sulphur Springs, Marcus, Washta and Meriden. June 18, 1918, he acquired the position as agent and operator at Oyens and was compelled to retire because of illness Sept. 14, 1949, his 65th birthday anniversary. He went on pension in January, 1950. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 8, at St. Catherine's Catholic church in Oyens with Rev. Leo Schoeppner officiating. Burial will be in the church ceme-tery under direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home. Mr. Weber was treasurer at St. Catherine's church for 25 years, as well as the town treasurer for a number of years. He was a member of the R. R. telegraphers and the Knights of Columbus, trinity council of Le Mars, holding the offices of Warden, Deputy Grand Knight and finally the office of Grand Knight for two years. Since the date of his retirement, Mr. Weber had made his home in Oyens, with his cousin, Lena Kintzle, keeping house for him. Surviving are a brother and three sisters: John P. of Minneapolis, Mrs. Peter Yanachaeck of Sioux City, and Mary and Sophie in Germany. Attend Funeral Funeral Services for Mike Weber were held at St. Catherine's church at Oyens on Thursday morning at 9:30 with Rev. Lawrence Schoeppner, pastor, officiating. Active pallbearers were Frank Wilmes, Ed Heissel, Andy Niehus, Peter Reichling, Geo. Lanzendorf, John T. Arens and honorary pallbearers were Harold Kemp, Frank Kunath, Jens Kloster, Norman Kloster, J. A. Kemp and Cecil Kennedy. The Knights of Columbus of Trinity Council, attended the funeral in a body. Relatives from a distance attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Peter Yanacheak, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Yanacheak, Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Mayrose, Evelyn Hass from Sioux City, Ia.; Mike Kintzle, Walnut Grove, Minn.; Ed Brucher, Waterloo, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Treptow, Cleghorn, Ia.; Mr. Nick Ernster, Mrs Josephine Mayrose and Mrs. Catherine Bruche of Remsen.
